WAW (World Association of Wrestling) was founded in 1994 by Ricky Knight, Sweet Saraya and JimmyOcean. January 1994 saw the debut of the first "Talk" show in Norwich which was the start of a beautiful beginning of this promotion. The World Association of Wrestling (WAW), and the show were a great sucess packed to the rafters and raising over £800 for the Bryan Gunn Leukemia appeal.

 

Created by Ricky Knight, Jimmy Ocean and Sweet Saraya the promotion has risen to the 3rd biggest federation in the UK. It Has seen many highlights, taking over the Cornexchange Norwich from Allstar in 1998 and running fortnightly shows till its closure in 2000. Gaining contracts to run holiday camps at its peak running 20 shows a week.

 

The WAWAcademy has become one of the biggest and best in the UK and Europe with students travelling from all over the world to attend the monthly weekend training seminars.

Since there debut in 1994 WAW have gone from strength to strength creating and molding some of the most entraining and compelling stars on the curcuit and around the world today.
